Invitation From Greater Binghamton Labor~Religion Coalition
At the RC-11 Lunch Bunch Meeting on Monday, May 2nd Ben Frisbie invited those present and any members of RC-11 to participate in the activities of the Greater Binghamton Labor~Religion Coalition. It is a local all volunteer group that works to educate, organize and mobilize the religious and labor communities to give workers voice for the common good. The Coalition engages in campaigns that help prevent wage theft, worker abuse, and improve conditions for workers not represented by unions. Rev. Fred Brooks is the faith community co-chair of the Coalition sharing duties with Ben who is the labor co-chair.
If you are connected to a church, know someone who is, or just interested in low wage worker issues, please consider attending our regular meetings to help us bring together these two important communities. The Coalition meets the second Tuesday of each month from 5 until 6:30 PM at NYSUT's Southern Tier Regional Office on the Vestal Parkway.
